Things to do in Gold Coast

Gold Coast is a venue for the family. There are several places and attractions that are meant for the whole family. The more members of the family that come with you, the merrier your vacation can turn out.

The Dreamworld is one of the theme parks and is considered as the largest in Gold Coast. This is also the location of the famous Big Brother Australia House. Another favorite theme park is the Warner Bros. Movie World, a movie-related theme park that was opened in 1991. Everything around the park is related to movies that was produced and created by Warner Bros.

Aside from the theme parks and beaches, visitors also go to the Gold Coast to see Q1 Building. This manmade structure means Queensland 1, and is the highest skyscraper in Surfer’s Paradise measuring 322.5 metres. It is the tallest residential building in the world.

Currumbin Sanctuary
Don't miss a visit to the Currumbin Sanctuary is an excellent wildlife park at the southern end of the Gold Coast. The park is home to wombats, tree kangaroos, kangaroos, wallabies and Tasmanian devils; although birds are the main attraction.

Whale Watching
Get up close with some of the largest animals in the world when you opt to go on a Whale Watching tour. These are conducted in a number of locations on the east coast of Australia. Just three and a half hours driving from Brisbane is the city of Hervey Bay, gateway to Fraser Island and now famous as the Whale Watch Capital of the Australia. Other locations include the Whitsundays and Moreton Bay near Brisbane.
